Shield Liger Guardian Force Custom (A.K.A. Guardian Leo) The Gurdian force was considered by Guylos and Helic soldiers alike a sign of peace and unity. Only the most skilled of all pilots were permitted to join the force but those who did had access to the absolute finest in zoid technology. One fortunate young liger pilot managed to join the force shortly after the second Deathsaurer incident. Idolizing Van Flihight he was known never to touch a zoid other than his trusty shield liger. With no such fortune as to have the assistance of an organoid companion, he had to upgrade his liger the old fassioned way. Though not fond of the leomaster upgrade pack the republic offered his attention was cought by technology offered by Guylos scientists. The newly developed Assault Gattling unit was fitted to the shield liger while the existing armor was thicked and the unarmored areas fitted with form fitting plates of armor equal to the blade liger. In addition this pilot being, some say cowardly others saying just plain smart, had the original cockpit replaced with a new armor encased cockpit switching to a TV display similar to that of the genosaurer. Although without the aid of boosters having increased weight normaly meens a significant decrease in speed. At this point our young liger pilot had to practicly beg Guylos engineers to finish his liger. Perhaps seeing the next Van Flyhight or perhaps out of pitty for the boy they did. An enhanced power plant was installed on the shield liger and almost the entire electrical wiring system was reworked with higher capacity cable allowing the shield liger to run at its original pace despite the incresed weight. As an unexpected side effect the laser weapons of the shield liger gained a 50% increase in intensity making them in effect AZ weapons. Not to mention the shield also benefited from this making its defensive abilities equal to that of the blade liger. Naming his new zoid the Guardian leo, the young pilot though never passing into legend like Van Flihight is certaily well known among zoid engineering circles. One of the engineers was heard to comment "Dr. D got nothing on this."
