What is a Kitbash?

	A kitbash is simply put an alteration
of an existing toy or an entirely custom made toy.
Most often this is done with transformers.

There are many reasons to kitbash including making an original
character or replacing a toy you are dissatisfied with.  Fixing problems with
an existing toy and just to make them look a little better.

Kitbashing can be anything from a simple repaint to 
a full remolding.

For kitbashing I use the following.

Exacto knife
lots of epoxy.  
Water based paint set
water based gloss sealer
micro screwdrivers
and whatever else I may have lying around
improvization is the key to good kitbashing.

When kitbashing I maintain 3 rules

1.the result must retain its abillity to transform
2.I will not alter an old or difficult to aquire toy
such as an imported toy or something as old as 
an original beast wars.
3. I don't alter necessarilly to make toys match their
tv show counterparts but rather only to make them the
best transformer they can be.
